Hello.. Is there a way to make at least one field in a form required, but not more than one? E.x.: I have a form and it has four "search" fields. At least one of these fields needs to be populated prior to them clicking the search button. Hello.. Is there a way to do a compare so that if the check box on a form is checked, the associated textbox is a required field? Is there a jQuery way to accomplish this? I'm not proficient in jQuery and wouldn't know how to accomplish this. Thanks..
Is there some way to apply a validator to a DualList so that at least 1 result is required? I notice there is a type="checkboxlist" to handle that situation. Is there something similar for a DualList or is there some (not so obvious to me) way to do this already?

Can you make a group of checkboxes required? The expected behavior would be that at least one checkbox has been checked. We have tried setting the setting to required but it has no effect. Our DNN version is 6.2.5 Also, here is the snippet of the form for this setting: Which committee(s) would you like to sign-up to be on? * This is required. *Check all that apply Committee Preferences Compliance

Getting Good Answers

How do you get good answers to your questions?   Ask good questions. That means:

  1. Good Titles: Give your question a concise but informative title. Rather than "Email Forms", use "Sending multiple emails from forms".
  2. Do Your Research: Check out the XMod Pro help file, the XMod Pro Guide on this site, do a search in this Answers forum. Members are friendly and more than happy to help, but it's good etiquette to show you've done your homework.
  3. Is It Answerable? Your question should be practical and answerable. Provide clear and accurate details about your specific problem. Be sure to include all the pertinent information or links to images and examples. 
  4. Show Your Appreciation: If someone correctly answers your question, come back and ACCEPT the answer. That gives them points and helps others know it was a correct answer. If members know you'll accept an answer, they'll be more likely to spend time on your next question(s).
