What is the best way to auto populate a form from the database using parameters in the querystring?

I would like to autopopulate an XMOD form based on values passed from the querystring. Basically, the email will be sent to the recipient with a link to the form. Recipient clicks on the link and pulls up the form which then auto populates. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Friendly urls vs querystrings

Hi, I want to have nice friendly urls, such as www.mysite.com/course/certificate-in-finance instead of www.mysite.com/course?id=82 How can I set up XMod so that it can parse the incoming url for the course name without having to have a querystring? Thanks
