This doesn't make sense to me so someone please help.

I generated a Template to list items. It auto-generated links for edit/delete/details. I wanted to make Edit and Delete icons rather than links so changed them to EditImage and DeleteImage. No problem so far.

I don't want the user to have a Details link/button at all so I just removed that XML but now I see rows but no data. I put the code back in and the data is there! I placed an HTML comment around the detail link and it is still happy. Is there something magic about having a DetailLink that is required by XMOD?
