If you've been following
my posts on LinkedIn or my posts here on the site, you'll know I've been working on XMP v.5.
While that is a huge undertaking, I've also been looking at dnndev.com with new eyes. We will eventually be moving off of Evoq in favor of Community. Evoq served us well, but it's made the site less flexible for a developer like me, with a tool like XMod Pro :)
As part of that, we need to find a way to keep the valuable messages you have posted over the years. It's a vital source of information for XModders.
So, we're rebuilding the Answers module using XMod Pro.
Not just porting it. Rebuilding it. And improving it along the way.
If you've used the Answers module, you know it does the job. But there are things I've always wanted to tweak. The editing experience. The way you find information. Small friction points that add up over time.
This is one of those projects where XMod Pro gets to eat its own dog food. I'm building a real application that real people will use, and I'm using the same tools I'm asking you to use. Every awkward workflow I hit, every "why isn't this easier" moment—that feedback goes straight into version 5.
I'll be sharing more as this takes shape. If there are things about the current Answers experience you'd like to see improved, now's a great time to speak up.
