Installation of XMod Pro on Your DNN Instance

View XMod Pro Installation steps (for DNN 5 and later). XMod Pro is installed just like any other DNN module.

XMod Pro is installed just like any other DotNetNuke module. We've laid out a step-by-step process for you below (for DNN 7-9.x, DNN 6, and DNN 5):

Install on DotNetNuke 7.x, 8.x, and 9.x

  1. Go to https://www.dnndev.com/Clients/Downloads and login using the account information associated with your purchase.
  2. Download the most recent version of XMod Pro (example XMod Pro 04.01.00 (No Docs)). Download the XMod Pro File

  3. UNZIP the file by right-clicking and selecting 'Extract'.
  4. On your DNN website, Login as a SuperUser
  5. Go to the Host Menu - select Extensions.
    Go to the Host Menu and select Extensions

  6. Extensions: Select Install Extension Wizard.
    Select Install Extension Wizard

  7. My Website > Extensions: To Upload New Extension Package, select Choose File.
    Select Choose File

  8. Select the file in the Installation folder to install the DNN50 file called XModPro04.01.01_DNN50Install. This version is compatible with DNN 5.x to 9.1.

  9. Then, Package Information: select Next

    Release Notes: Read and select Next

    Review License: Read and select 'Accept License', then select Next.

  10. Package Installation Report: confirm that it says "EndJob Installation successful", then select Return. Confirm message says EndJob Installation successful

  11. XMod Pro will then show up on the Extensions page. XMod Pro has been added to the Extensions page

Finally - To Add an XMod Pro Module Instance to the Page of your choice:

Select Add New Module

 

  1. Module Selection - Category: select All Categories
  2. Using the scrollbar, scroll to the far right to select the XMod Pro module.
  3. Select and Drag the module to your desired location on the page:
    Select and drag the XMod Pro module onto your page

Your XMod Pro Module is now installed, on a DNN 7 - 9.x instance!

 

 

 

Install on DotNetNuke 6

  1. Go to http://dnndev.com/Clients/Downloads.aspx and login using the account information associated with your purchase.
  2. Download the most recent version of XMod Pro (example XMod Pro 04.01.00 (No Docs)). Download the XMod Pro File

  3. Unzip the file by right-clicking and selecting 'Extract'.
  4. On your DNN website, Login as a SuperUser
  5. Go to the Host Menu - select Extensions. Go to the Host Menu and select Extensions

  6. Go to Manage - select Install Extension Wizard. Select Install Extension Wizard

  7. New Extension File: To upload the New Extension File, select Choose File. Select Choose File

  8. Select the file in the Installation folder to install the DNN50 file called XModPro04.01.01_DNN50Install. This version is compatible with DNN 6 and 5x. Select file in Installation folder

  9. Then, Package Information: select Next

    Release Notes: Read and select Next

    Review License: Read and select 'Accept License', then select Next.

  10. Package Installation Report: confirm that it says "EndJob Installation successful", then select Return. Confirm message says EndJob Installation successful

  11. XMod Pro will then show up on the Extensions - Modules page. XMod Pro has been added to the Extensions-Modules page

Finally - To add XMod Pro instance to the page of your choice

  1. Go to Modules:
  2. At top, select Add New Module
  3. Module Selection - Category: All Categories, Module: XModPro, Name: XModPro
  4. Module Location - select location on page that you desire
  5. At bottom, select Add Module

     

    select Add Module

Your XMod Pro Module is now installed, on a DNN 6 instance!

 

 

Install on DotNetNuke 5

  1. Go to http://dnndev.com/Clients/Downloads.aspx and login using the account information associated with your purchase.
  2. Download the most recent version of XMod Pro (example XMod Pro 04.01.00 (No Docs)). Download the XMod Pro File

  3. Unzip the file by right-clicking and selecting 'Extract'.
  4. On your DNN website, Login as a SuperUser
  5. Go to the Host Menu - select Extensions. Select Extensions on Host Menu

  6. Go to Extension Dropdown - select Install Extension Wizard. Select Install Extension Wizard

  7. New Extension File: To upload the New Extension Package, select Browse... Select Browse

  8. Select the file in the Installation folder to install the DNN50 file called XModPro04.01.01_DNN50Install. This version is compatible with DNN 6 and 5x. Select file

  9. Then, Package Information: select Next

    Release Notes: Read and select Next

    Review License: Read and select 'Accept License', then select Next.

    Select Accept License

  10. Package Installation Report: confirm that it says "EndJob Installation successful", then select Return. Confirm message says EndJob Installation successful

  11. XMod Pro will then show up on the Extensions - Modules page. XMod Pro has been added to the Extensions-Modules page

Finally - To add an XMod Pro instance to the page of your choice:

  1. Go to the top of the page, in center
  2. Select Add New Module button
  3. Module: select XModPro
  4. Pane/Insert: will select the module's location on the page
  5. Title: Give your module a title, if you desire.
  6. Select: + Add Module Select and Add Module

Your XMod Pro Module is now installed, on a DNN 5 instance!
