Off Topic - Transactional Email Providers

We have switched the service we use for transactional emails -- i.e. the emails sent from this site for logins, password resets, notifications of posts, etc.

We tried using SendGrid and really tried to make it work but I guess too many people have sent spam messages from their service so an ever growing number of mail providers block emails from their IPs outright. They never make it to your inbox and you're never notified of it.

So, we're going back and investing in the Mandrill service -- an integrated service of MailChimp, now owned by Intuit. Mandrill was a fabulous service for us previously but became too expensive for our needs. It's still too expensive but we can't afford to have important emails blocked.

As you know we do not send spam and rarely (maybe once a year) send a "sales" email. Yet we have to purchase MailChimp's marketing emails just to have the privilege of paying for their transactional email service. Gotta' love late-stage capitalism :)

Anyway, since we've been getting more active and are gearing up for an XMod Pro v.5 release (still a few months away), I wanted to make sure the basics like transactional emails was sorted. Please tell me if you have problems.

Of course if you have suggestions for a better service with great deliverability I'm all ears!
