Open Edit form on different page

Can I use the Xmod:EditLink in a template to open the edit form on another page? Whats the syntax please? I need to hide the filter in the above template, so I decided it can be done by opening the edit form on a different page,but when I put in a url it opens an add form.... Is there a better way? if this is not possible can I hide the template above holdiing the filters for the template that pro

What am I doing wrong with the EditForm tag? I can't get it to work.

Answer Accepted

I can get to the place where I can edit the inputs to the form but when I click the Update button it gives me this error. Here is the code I have for the EditLink and EditForm tags:
