Form and Template - Cancel button passing values to tempalte

Hello.. On a page, I have a form (Add) and a template below. The values of the form determines what the template displays. By default, the template is configured to show all the records. I have a text field to allow people to look for a specific record number; regex ensures it's an integer and nothing else. If I enter something other than a number and click on search, it shows an error saying this

Form submission and AddUser

Hi! I created a form that I will also need to adduser for that new record I entered. But I will also need to update that record with the added user ID. How can I achieve that. I looked around many related posts to this topic but I could not realise how to do that! Need help. Thanks.
