Hey XModders, I'm really excited to finally be able to reveal my new book, and it's all about XMod Pro. It's the first of its kind and I can't tell you how happy I am to be able to give back to such a wonderful product and community. I've literally built my company on XMod Pro as many others have but it hasn't always been easy, so I wanted to offer an in-depth, how-to book on XMod Pro - written fr
If you've been following my posts on LinkedIn or my posts here on the site, you'll know I've been working on XMP v.5. While that is a huge undertaking, I've also been looking at dnndev.com with new eyes. We will eventually be moving off of Evoq in favor of Community. Evoq served us well, but it's made the site less flexible for a developer like me, with a tool like XMod Pro :) As part of that, we
I'm happy to announce we've just released version 4.9.6 of XMod Pro. This release is geared toward users of DNN 10+. If you are still running DNN 9.x, you don't need to install. The release fixes the jQuery related error that prevents the Form View from loading. This was do to the removal of a DNN method in DNN 10. While we don't expect any compatibility problems, if you experience any issues, ple

It's Thanksgiving Day here in the US but that doesn't mean we've been taking a holiday. I'm happy to announce the beta release of our new documentation for XMod Pro! You can get to the docs at this URL: https://www.dnndev.com/help/xmodpro/index.html Please note this is a slightly different URL than the previous online h
In the March 2015 User Group Meeting I discussed how to leverage XMod Pro to create searching and sorting solutions using Ajax. You can watch the video on YouTube by clicking the link above. I've also just posted the code from my session here on the site. You can find it on the Downloads page, in the Extras folder. The direct link to download is here: http://dnndev.com/Clients/Downloads?Command=Co
None of the Google Maps / XMP tutorials I've found would work without extensive recoding, so I'm posting the results of my research here. Hopefully someone will find it useful. The data is very straightforward. I'm creating a searchable map of California State government agencies, but any dataset that includes Lat/Long coordinates will work. I'm working on two templates, both of which can be downl
At the end of January, I mentioned that as part of our move away from Evoq and back to DNN Community, we'd be rewriting a number of Evoq modules using XMod Pro — eating our own dogfood, as it were. We replaced the Answers module with an XMP version on February 11th, and yesterday (March 11th) we released the XMP version of Discuss. As with Answers, the necessity of conversion became an opportunity
We've had a number of inquiries about whether XMod Pro's latest version is compatible with the recently released version 10.0 of DNN. We had to re-structure some of our tests to accommodate the new UI and other aspects of v.10 which is why it took a while for us to report back. I'm happy to report that the latest released version of XMP is compatible with DNN 10. We have been able to install and a
23 years! That's how long DNN has been a part of my life. Shaun released DotNetNuke in 2002 and I started playing with it in 2003. I had no idea that DNN would still be here over two decades later or that a funny little module called XMod would still be helping people solve their problems. As we step into 2026, I find myself thinking less about features and release dates and more about the people
