I am using DNN 6.0.1 and XMP 3.00.07, on both a production server and a development machine. In both cases, when I change the theme under styling tab, the changes are not reflected; it still shows the default style. However if I preview, or view the actual form, it does change some formatting such as background color and font color, but the majority of the form layout such label alignment is not affected, and there is no spacing between the label and control. See attached image of ui-le-frog theme. I thought the skin container for the XMP module might be overriding the css for the form, but changing the container skin has no effect on the layout. Any Ideas what might be causing this?

Hi Steve,

Rename your form so that it doesn't include spaces. Form, template, and feed names can only include letters, numbers, hyphens (-) and underscores (_). You will probably need to also edit the form (though you won't need to make any changes) and save it. This will force XMod Pro to regenerate the form.

Best,

That fixed the problem with the spacing and alignment and formating. I still cannot view the theme changes in live view, I have to save and them preview or view the actual form.

That's expected behavior. When you switch label alignment and width, you'll see those changes reflected dynamically, but the FormBuilder is not a "live" view of the form. Rather it is a designer used for building the form. Preview is the way to see the theme.

Kelly,

Thank you for the fast responses as always.

In XMP V2 on the Form Layout and Styling step of the form builder, if you changed the theme in form builder, you saw that theme applied in the preview area below. I just realized that in V3 you did away with steps and replaced them with tabs in the form builder, and in doing so maintained the ability to modify the form under the styling tab, and did away with the preview by necessity. If I am correct, I think that is where the confusion came from.

You're correct. We couldn't do both the live style preview and the form editing ability. We made the choice that form editing was more valuable to customers than live, dynamic preview of themes.
