Kelly - just a quick follow up: I purchased XMOD 3 upgrade yesterday and the calendar add on. I installed it, read the help files wrote some simple xml fragments, and within an hour (start to finish) had a custom calendar module built and deployed for user testing. (One of the pre-built calendar styles even matched the sites color palatte exactly) So far this morning, I've had real positive responses from the people tesing the application. My only problem now is: can I bill clients on what it would have taken me to build custom components from scratch or what it really does take me with XMod!

About Our Navigation Bar Demos Minimize

On this page we've provided a couple of examples of navigation menus. They've been built using simple HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). You may notice that they use the same data as our List demos. That's one of the benefits of using XMod. Not only can create data-driven navigation menus as you see on this page, but you can re-purpose your data across different modules and different pages. So, if make a change to one record, the change is reflected in all the other modules that point to that data.

Note for Designers and Developers: While XMod provides facilities to easily layout your data in grids and table-based lists, it also enables you to use "semantic markup" in your XMod templates, making the markup serve the content rather than the presentation.

Please Note: While these solutions should be compatible across most modern browsers, we did not test in all environments. The intent of the page is not to create the best navigation bar, but to show some possible solutions. Any quirks you may see are the result of the CSS implementation we chose and are not related to XMod. The point is that XMod gives you the ability to render your data using clean markup so that you can style it in whatever manner you see fit.

Horizontal CSS-Based Navigation Bar Using XMod Minimize

Here is an example of using XMod to create a dynamic horizontal navigation menu using simple semantic markup and CSS. The links don't go anywhere, but we think you'll get the idea. Notice, this menu is using the same data we use for our Lists demo page.
