A New Year, And New Kits!

Last November, we started a new craze: Module Kits for XMod Pro. These kits are installable just like any DNN module. I’m happy to announce the release of 4 brand spanking new kits to start this year – bringing the kit count to 12 in 2012. Seems almost like it was meant to be. Read on for the rundown on these cool new kits.
The inquisitive among you may have already discovered these new kits already. We put them up in the downloads section as an early Christmas gift for regular visitors, but we’re now officially announcing their release.
What Are Module Kits?
If you haven’t been paying attention over the holiday season, you may have missed the announcement and you’re not quite sure what these Module Kits are. Briefly, they’re pre-packaged solutions, examples, and demos built with XMod Pro. You install them just like any DNN module and they run right out of the box. Because they are built with XMod Pro, you need XMod Pro installed to run them. And, because they’re built with XMod Pro, you can run them as-is, learn from their code, and/or customize them to make them even better.
But, enough talk. On to the Kits…
Ever needed to send an email to a user for a file that is within your DotNetNuke website? Or needed to send an attachment that is too large for you to send out (gmail attachment limitations for instance) or for them to receive? Ever needed a basic "you send it" functionality for your DotNetNuke website? This kit shows off the flexibility of XMod Pro and the power of the Control Data Source (for Dropdowns) and Form Email functions. Install this module and you’ll be able to create a basic form to email a file from your DotNetNuke website.
Building a DotNetNuke form for Contact Us forms, User Feedback forms, or Website Comments forms is a popular task and is required in almost all DNN sites! This is a simple form allows users to submit feedback comments & suggestions with all other items as not required. Users can expand the optional section to provide additional answers as well. When submitted, the form will email the Portal Admin (or any other email address you specify), and if the "CC Me" check box is selected, will email a message copy to the user specified in the SenderEmail field.
The Poll Module has long been a standard of the DNN core modules, however polls are a fun, flashy way to show off some of the neat features of XMod Pro! In this Module Kit, this Poll XMod Pro code can be used to create several polls for your DNN instance. You can use it as a starter to add more complexity such as specific Portal ID, more questions, stats on dates answered, user voting tracking and more.
Need a little sparkle to add to your product pages or website? Nothing adds more life than a 3D Carousel of images. This is an updated follow-up to our successful 3D Carousel offering for XMod. Spotlight pages on your site, your books, music, movies, cars, or just about anything else! The jQuery carousel features auto-reflections, mouse wheel scroll, slimbox (lightbox) popup and more!
These are fantastic additions to our ever-growing library of module kits. Together they show how flexible and powerful XMod Pro is.
