What's new and shakin' with the forthcoming version of XMod...

It has been a few months since the announcement of XMod 5.0. During that time we've had a few setbacks, a couple of illnesses, and all manner of hoops through which we've jumped.... make that flaming, razor encrusted hoops...

However, the plan is finally coming together and the software should be out by the end of this month (fingers crossed). I have even managed to sneak in another new feature which I think you'll be happy to see: the FormBuilder.

The FormBuilder is a new tool that will make creating and editing forms quick and simple. Essentially, you pick the control you want to add to the form from a drop-down list, fill out that control's "designer" and click a button to add it to the form. If you need to go back later and edit that control - just click the Edit button for it. Need to remove the control from the form? Then click it's delete button. However, what if you want to change the order of the controls on your form? Hmmm??  With the FormBuilder it's simple -- simply drag and drop it to its new position - no postbacks, no waiting. And, of course, previewing how your form will look is just a Preview link click away.

For the developers among you, during the last few weeks, we've also created "XMod Managers for Developers" - a guide to get you up-to-speed quickly developing your own custom data managers.

So, rest assured that XMod 5 is rolling toward the finish line.

Thanks for your continued support of XMod.
