Wow thanks i was able to do this using [the redirect tag]. It was pretty simple too. This is a very powerful module. With this functionality I can nuke a whole lot of our current functionality.

Those Vegas conventions require a long recovery time, but I'm back and eager to let you know about a new service we're offering to help you make the most of XMod.

It feels like it has been a whirlwind tour. The week spent in Vegas for OpenForce was enlightening, but exhausting. I met a lot of DNN'ers there and even some people who hadn't heard of XMod ;) I decided to extend the OpenForce feeling into the next week by hosting Peter Donker - the team lead for the News Module. Since he resides in Switzerland, he hadn't been properly introduced to the desert Southwest. So, we spent quite a bit of time doing the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and various sites in and around Phoenix. Peter was even kind enough to come to our meeting of the Arizona DotNetNuke Users Group.

One thing I took away from the experience (other than a few extra pounds from Vegas food) was that there is no substitute for a handshake and talking things out face-to-face. The internet has brought us numerous alternatives that are good, but still just a stand-in for what you can accomplish when you're in the same room.

Here at DNNDev, we have always tried to provide you with that kind of personal service and support - even if we couldn't meet face-to-face. I think it is one of the primary reasons XMod has been so successful. But, even with that support, it is sometimes best to get someone who is focused solely on your needs and can work with you toward a solution as quickly as possible whether it's learning a new technique or completing a project. We often don't have the luxury to study and digest new techniques or technologies. When the project has to be completed yesterday, it's usually more efficient to bring in an expert to walk you through a process or help you finish the job.

In an effort to provide you with that extra level of attention and detail, I'm happy to announce we're now offering XMod development and consulting services. Whether you need a custom data manager built, need someone to quickly pump out a traditional XMod solution, beat another absurdly tight deadline, or you just need some extra help learning or making the most of XMod, we're here to help. No one knows XMod better than us and we want you to succeed by using it. We can create XMod-based solutions, develop custom data managers, give your existing XMod solutions a professional look, or help you quickly learn to leverage XMod's powerful features for yourself.

Our primary focus is still on making XMod the best module available, so we won't be able to take on every project. However, we encourage you to let us know what you need - with no obligation - and we'll let you know how we can help.

If you're interested, please fill out the information request form here:

Thanks for your continued support of XMod. I look forward to working with you.

Are you still planning on making a generic data manager available????

I like the idea of the service - should come in very handy when you run into a problem and have a deadline. This way we could hire some help to get it done quick AND learn how you did it!

Greg

Xmod would be even more useful if there was a plugin for Peter's DMX module!
