Here's a quick look at what we're working on for the 5.0.3 release.

We have been working on the next release for XMod 5.0 and I haven't had a chance to blog much. So, I thought it would be best to provide you with a brief look at what we're planning on resolving in the new release. Please note that this list may change between now and the release of 5.0.3 as some issues may not be able to be resolved within the release time frame.

Version 5.0.3 will be a maintenance release and will be a free upgrade to all XMod 5.0 owners.

FIXES:

  • Excel/CSV Export: We've cleaned up and modified the export format - especially how multi-value fields are exported. We have not been able to resolve a reported issue concerning special characters in the output.
  • Textarea Doesn't Recognize "cols" property.
  • Parameter values don't survive postback
  • Cancel Button causes validation to fire
  • ScriptBlock - ClientScriptInclude blocktype doesn't function
  • UDT Manager doesn't work with FormView. We anticipate this will be resolved for 5.0.3. A new version of the User Defined Table module has been released and we've received a report that it is incompatible with the UDT Manager. I can't say if this will be resolved by 5.0.3's release, but we will be investigating and working on a compatible version.
  • Grid View shows Header in Footer area. This refers to the secondary header and footer, not the column headers/footers.
  • <xmod:localization> tag doesn't function correctly in List and Detail templates
  • <xmod:scriptblock> tag doesn't function correctly in detail templates
  • Rich Text template editor mangles HTML when using an <xmod:field> tag in the src or href attribute of an HTML tag.

ENHANCEMENTS:

  • FormBuilder: We've added processing for <displaydate> and <expirydate> tags.
  • Previously, the <xmod:list> tag could display the display text or the value of an <xmod:field> tag but not both. We've enhanced the tag so that both display text and value can be used.

There are some other items we're working on and hope to have in the 5.0.3 release but they may not get finished in time - in which case, they'll be added to the next release.

I'm not sure if there is somewhere else I should submit bugs, let me know.<br><br>I noticed that if you create a tabstrip with a required field, when inputting data, if you don't input the required field tabstrip doesn't tell you you're missing something if you're on another tab. The 'addbutton' just does nothing.

@efridine: If you are using tabs in this way, you should consider adding the <validationsummary> tag to your form to group validation messages outside the tabstrip so the user can see the messages.
