If ONLY I could designate this as a core module! EXCELLENT support, EXTREMELY well-written documentation, great support site. Form & Template Exchange site is worth purchase price alone. XMod & XMod Calendar are a 'must have' for any dynamic content developer.

As part of our ongoing effort to provide you with better support and information, we're debuting our new ScreenCasts section

It's a cliché but generally true, nonetheless. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then what is a video worth?  XMod has long been applauded for it's comprehensive help file (400+ pages). Around about version 4 we added screen shots to the help file - to aid in comprehension. Now, for version 5, we've decided that in many cases, it's much easier to see how something is done, rather than just read about it.

So, we've invested in additional software and server resources so we can bring you how-to's, demo's, and tutorials in video form (we call them screencasts). We're beginning with a couple of introductory screencasts but will be adding more in the coming weeks. In fact, in addition to announcing the screencasts feature, the other reason for the blog post is to get your ideas on what you'd like to see.

The screencasts are here for you, so let me know what you want us to cover by adding your comments to this blog post.

Check out the ScreenCasts page at the URL below:

Good idea, but they are causing an error on your site.

Very informative and well done- thanks! How about a screencast covering a form with a little javascript functionality? I am totally new to JS and XMOD, and not totally sure how the two play together...

@Rob Ralston: Hi Rob, thanks for the heads-up. The service I use to host it just did an update. Apparently, the update changed the URL's to the screencasts. Try again and let me know if they're working for you now.

@y01nk: Thanks and thanks for the idea. I'll look into creating one or more videos discussing Javascript usage in XMod.

Hi, I am new to XMOD and I found the help documents informative but overwhelming. But I found the ScreenCast a great help, so much easier to understand, thanks, more of the same please, covering other features in help document. <br><br>How about creating a ScreenCast to accompany your XMOD Demos, e.g templates and Repeater templates.
