Testimonials
I have never given a favorable rating for a purchased module until now. I've been waiting for something to actually impress me enough to warrant a favorable review. XMod 4.5 has done so... There is no doubt that XMod 4.5 is perhaps the most useful module I've purchased in the DNN universe, because it let me configure a solution my way. It's flexible and intuitive, and performing exactly as advertised. The documentation is clear and comprehensive, which says a lot when so many modules for sale lack decent documentation or lack it altogether. But far more impressive has been Kelly's responsiveness to my questions. Unlike other module developers, Kelly has gotten back to me promptly and stayed with me until my question was handled fully. So, I'm giving XMod the highest rating and, to date, this is the only module that has received it.

Building the Photo Gallery Lightbox Demo
DNNDev_Blog By dnndev on 7/30/2007 12:41 PM
Over the weekend, a customer asked me about creating a photo gallery with XMod. I decided it would make a good demo for the site and provide me with an opportunity to discuss the mechanics of using third party libraries to provide pizazz and polish to your XMod solutions. It's really quite simple to do.

Breaking the Mold
Midspot By midspot on 7/19/2007 9:50 AM
Well I'm going to break outside of the mold and post on a Thursday. As you can see all blog posts this month so far have been on Wednesdays but I dare to be different. I have also seen an interest in creating "dating" like sites with XMod in the forum of late. I had indicated in one of my earlier posts that I would do some tutorial type posts, so what the heck, I've found my fodder!

What Do You Want?
DNNDev_Blog By dnndev on 7/11/2007 8:42 AM
XMod has always been customer-driven. Many of the new features in XMod 5 are the direct result of your input. We're always on the lookout for suggestions from you that we can implement in XMod to solve problems you encounter every day. Now, though, I'm asking for your input regarding our site and services.

Let There Be Lightbox!
fatgeorge By fatgeorge on Wed, 04 Jul 2007 11:29:18 GMT
There have been a few posts in the forums lately concerning the use of Lightbox with XMod. I actually implemented Lightbox on one of my sites in an XMod 4.7 List View template, I would like to try to document the process here so that others can have a go at utilising this cool way of displaying images.

More XMod CAPTCHA ideas
Midspot By midspot on 6/26/2007 9:02 AM
Kelly touched on the subject of a poor man's CAPTCHA system in XMod. His ideas were spot on for great deterrents, but I wanted to list a few more options that may also work, depending on your user base.
